David Verbitsky

David Verbitsky is a Managing Director at Nomura Greentech.

Based in New York, David leads Nomura Greentech’s AgTech and Sustainable Food sector and has over 15 years of experience in the Food and Agriculture sector.

David’s transaction experience includes over $200+ billion of public-company M&A such as the DuPont merger of equals with Dow for a combined $130 billion, sale of Syngenta for $63 billion, divestment of Nutrien’s equity stakes in SQM and Arab Potash for ~$6 billion; M&A of high-growth emerging-technology companies such as John Deere’s acquisition of Blue River Technology for $305 million, and the sale of animal nutrition company Neovia to ADM for €1.5 billion; private capital raises for high-growth emerging-technology companies such as the €300 million raise for insect protein company InnovaFeed; and public capital raises such as the BioAmber IPO and Ceres IPO.

Prior to joining Nomura Greentech, David was a Partner at an AgTech & FoodTech focused early-stage venture capital fund, as well as CFO of an AgTech biologicals company. Previously, he was Head of Agriculture and Nutrition investment banking at Goldman Sachs.

David has dedicated his career to pursuing his passions in agriculture, healthier and cleaner food, environmental sustainability, ESG issues and impact investing.

David holds an MBA from Rice University and bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.
