Andrew Horn

Andrew Horn is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Americas Investment Banking at Nomura.

Based in New York, Andrew has over 25 years of experience advising corporates and private equity firms in a variety of industrials sectors including Building and Sustainable Products, HVAC and Filtration, Water Technology and Equipment and Specialty Distribution.

Andrew has a strong background in M&A, including both sell-side and buy-side transactions for public and private companies as well as equity and debt capital raising. His recent sell-side advisory transactions include the sale of legacy asbestos liabilities of SPX Technologies; the sale of AirXcel, an L Catterton portfolio company to Thor Industries for $750 million; the sale of Henry, an American Securities portfolio company to Carlisle Companies for $1.6 billion; and the sale of Jacuzzi Brands, a portfolio company of Ares, Apollo and Clearlake, to InvestIndustrial. Buy-side advisory transactions include The Jordan Company acquisition of Specialty Building Products; Pentair’s acquisition of Pleatco Filtration; and Melrose’s acquisition of Nortek for $2.8 billion.

In addition to building a leading advisory business in the Pool and Spa sector, he has had bookrunner roles in several notable equity capital markets transactions, including IPO’s for Hayward, Latham and Leslie’s.

Andrew joined Nomura from Macquarie Capital in October 2014 where he led the Building Products Investment Banking business. Previously, he worked at Bank of America and started his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.

Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Quantitative Economics. He graduated cum laude and was also a member of the Tufts University Men’s Basketball team.
